# We built this for a friend.Now we're building it for you.

 
dolfyn started with one problem, one business, and one very tired plumber who couldn't stop answering his phone after hours.

A good friend of ours runs a plumbing and HVAC company. Solid business, great reputation, always busy. But every time we were together, his phone wouldn't stop. Calls during dinner, calls on weekends, calls at 10pm. He picked up every single one because he never knew if a call was urgent or not.

 
His wife had opinions about it too.

 
We started messing around with a solution. Built something custom for him that would answer his calls, grab the details, and text him everything he needed. He could call back immediately if it was urgent, or handle it in the morning if it wasn't.

 
It worked. He stopped missing jobs. He stopped answering calls at night. We kept building it out and eventually started offering it to other businesses.
